The Adventure begins.

A whole weekend with like-minded people following in the footsteps of Indiana Jones and his father. Fans from all across Europe travel to spend a few adventurous days together — culminating in a visit to the original filming location of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

The Hotel

The 4**** Hotel Einstein Am Römer-park is one of the leading houses in the city. It opened in early 2020 directly on the former Weissheimer site. Located in the easternmost of the three towers, it blends perfectly into the Rhine-side skyline of the “City of the Baker Boys.” Another highlight of the city of Andernach, this newly built design hotel promises both tranquility and easy walking access to the town center. Constructed with high-quality materials throughout, it offers functionality, numerous conference facilities, and quiet retreats for individual travelers.

The Lava Dome

The historic lava cellars are unique in the world. Created by human hands over time, they are now an absolute “must-see” for every visitor to the Volcanic Park Osteifel / Laacher See.

Beneath the town of Mendig, a network of underground lava cellars stretches across an area of nearly 3 square kilometres. At a depth of 32 metres lies this landscape, unparalleled anywhere in the world.

In the mid-19th century, as many as 28 breweries made use of the constant temperature of 6°–9° Celsius found underground to store their beer.

The Boat trip

What is the best way to get around on the Rhine? Of course, by boat. We will take a boat trip to the Andernach Geyser and won’t miss the attraction there. On board the MS Namedy, we can reflect on our newly gained experiences at the Geyser Museum

or make use of the onboard catering. Let us enjoy the relaxing cruise and take in the natural beauty of the Rhine.

The Geyser of Andernach

The geyser eruption in Andernach is probably the most spectacular natural phenomenon along the Middle Rhine. During your visit to the museum, you learned how this phenomenon works. But now it’s time for the big moment.

Until the eruption begins, you can enjoy the Namedyer Werth peninsula, where the geyser is located — a beautiful nature reserve right on the banks of the Rhine.

The Castle Bürresheim

High above the Nettetal valley towers Bürresheim Castle – one of the few castles in Germany that was never destroyed and has remained almost completely intact to this day. Its towers, battlements, and winding courtyards allow visitors to step straight into the Middle Ages.

Bürresheim Castle also served as a filming location for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The legendary “Castle Brunwald” was brought to life here — whether there are tapestries to be found, we will discover together.

The Movienight

Experience adventure cinema in a truly special setting: at Bürresheim Castle, we will be screening “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” — right where scenes of the film were once shot. Immerse yourselves in the world of Indiana Jones as the castle’s historic walls provide the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable movie night.

Cinema, history, and adventure — all in one place. We look forward to an exciting evening with you!
